Somatic, Imaginal, and Cultural Modalities

Separating the somatic and the imaginal from the cultural is actually worse than leaving them alone.

Living unconsciously, one still muddles through somehow. Defenses are ad hoc and porous, but they still offer some protection.

Don’t expose the inner workings with no security.

Culture is the natural container for that work. That means if there is repair work to be done at a cultural level, it needs to be done first.

I know today’s intrepid spiritual soloists tend to resist what they might call the “politics” of that, but, well, tough noogies.

Yes, this post is about “gods.”

Yes, this post is about “prayer.”

Yes, this post is about “magic.”

Yes, this post is about “meditation.”

Yes, this post is about “energy.”

Yes, this post is about “healing.”

Yes, this post is about “therapy.”

Yes, this post is about “life.”
